West Perry FFA Raises $1500 to support the Local Food Bank
Barnyard Bonanza

On October 13-15, 2023, twenty West Perry FFA members volunteered for various hours to run the annual West Perry FFA Barnyard Bonanza stand at the Sherman’s Valley Heritage Days. Throughout the weekend, people were able to purchase tickets for a chance to win the grand prize of $400 or eight chances to win $25. A chicken which was released onto a board made up of 512 squares determined the winner based on a game similar to cow patty bingo.  In total, the West Perry FFA in partnership with the Alumni raised over $1,500. The money will be used to purchase livestock which will be slaughtered and the fresh meat donated  to the Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank Inc in New Bloomfield. The West Perry FFA is grateful for the support from the local community, which is necessary for this event to be successful.
